נוסעים לויטנאם במרץ? כדאי לקפוץ לביקור בפסטיבל האאו יאיי השנתי של הוצ'ימין. הפסטיבל, שיתקיים השנה בפעם השלישית, יחגוג את השמלה הויטנאמית המסורתית, הלא היא האאו יאיי (Ao Dai). השמלה עברה גלגולים שונים במהלך השנים, ובפסטיבל יציגו גרסאות מסורתיות שלה לצד עיצובים מודרניים.
אירוע הפתיחה יתקיים ב-3 במרץ ברובע 1 של העיר, בבית הנוער, בשעה 18:30. הטקס יכלול הופעות אמנותיות, ריקודים וכמובן שמלות. הפסטיבל עצמו יתפרס על פני כל העיר ואירועים שונים יתקיימו במוזיאון לאמנות, בפארקים בעיר וברחובות נבחרים. סיורים מודרכים בין התערוכות יתקיימו ללא תשלום, מירוץ אופניים בבגדים מסורתיים יעבור בין הרבעים של העיר, ומבקרים בפסטיבל יוכלו גם לרכוש לעצמם שמלות ואביזרים משלימים בהנחות בחנויות המשתתפות באירוע.
